Title
A KDE-based voice message utility for ELSA MicroLink Office modems

KMLOVoice is a KDE-based utility to process voice messages received with the ELSA MicroLink Office modem.

The ELSA MicroLink Office modem has a flash memory for voice and facsimile reception without PC. It can store up to 15 minutes of voice messages.

KMLOVoice can load the voice messages from the modem into files on your local data directory. You can playback the contents of those files or export them to WAVE files. Moreover voice messages can be sent as email.

KMLOVoice for KDE 2.x

2001-12-05: Version 2.0-pre2 available!

Changes against version 2.0-pre1:

  • Did almost a complete rewrite of the code.
  • Introduced subfolders for voice messages.
  • Introduced multiple windows for message playback.
  • Introduced base64 encoding for email sending.

HINT: I still haven't found out how to implement the playback through the aRts soundserver. So the OSS interface is still used. If you have problems with the playback, try to invoke KMLOVoice with "artsdsp kmlovoice".

  • Ported KMLOVoice to KDE 3.
